When people think of Canadian thrash, their minds automatically drift to the likes of Voivod and Annihilator, I mean, it’s only natural right? Flick off this topsoil and dig below and you’ll find Sacrifice and this year has High Roller Records reissuing Sacrifice’s 1986 debut album ‘Torment in Fire’ on vinyl.

This album saw Sacrifice hit the ground running and to celebrate this fact, High Roller Records are going all out with this reissue. Firstly, the sound will be cleaned up, bringing 1986 into 2022 with a sonic spring clean which an album which will be housed in a 425g heavy cardboard cover that will come with a four-page insert, a sheet of lyrics, a poster and an A5 photo card. As with all vinyl reissues these days, ‘Torment in Fire’ will come not only as a bog standard black vinyl but will also be available as an ultra-clear vinyl with a red and yellow fire splatter as well as an oxblood vinyl and finally a grey/oxblood bi-colour vinyl which will be exclusive to High Roller Records as a mail order exclusive.

As with most vinyl pressings in the modern era, ‘Torment in Fire’ will be limited-edition, so that once it’s gone, it’s gone. Therefore, if Sacrifice and vinyl are your thing, you better get your itchy trigger fingers clicking because cult thrash metal like this really does not last long.
