Nightwish are a band which for just short of 30 years have become one of the cornerstones of the symphonic metal movement. Back in the strange year of 2020, Nightwish released their ‘Human. :||: Nature.’ and finally in 2022, Nightwish are able to head out on tour and to celebrate this, the Finnish legends have reissued this album as a tour edition.

What the purchaser gets with this tour edition of ‘Human…’ are three discs to fully consume for all your Nightwish nature needs. The first disc will contain ‘Human…’ in all its laid-back glory with nothing from the original release added. However, the real gem with this tour edition is over the remaining discs, the second disc contains the epic eight part track ‘All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World’ which features readings from the likes of Byron and Carl Sagen delivered by esteemed actor Geraldine James and Johanna Kurkela, the wife of Tuomas Holopainen. The third and final disc is a Blu-Ray containing the full performance of Nightwish’s virtual live show from The Islanders Arms from 2021, a beautiful unique showcase which allow Nightwish to be seen at their most serene and intimate.

The extra discs here provide a chance to see what Nightwish are fully capable of in the live environment. For those who aren’t too fussed with Nightwish or contemporary Nightwish, then this reissue of ‘Human…’ will do little for you, but for those who do love Nightwish, ‘Human…’ provides a little bit more bang for your buck.
