INGESTED | Questions on the Go

We got to ask Ingested a few questions on the go.

Welcome to Metal Digest!

How do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

I want them to have a totally personal experience with our music and our albums. I want them to feel however it makes them feel. If our music helps anyone in any small way, that’s more important to me than selling a million records.

Major influences: Who put you on this path?

For me personally growing up seeing bands like Slipknot, Lamb of God, Chimaira, Fear Factory, Pantera had my mind made up that this was all I ever wanted to do. Other than that, the Gallagher brothers from Oasis, as they grew up like ten minutes away from where I live, and they’re living proof you can come from fuck all on a Manchester Council estate and go on to take over the world.

If you had to flee the country as a band, where would you choose to live?

Switzerland, because I love forests and mountains and stuff like that. Show me a misty forest that smells like pine and I’m there.

What’s the ‘wow factor’ that makes YOU decide which songs to keep, record and release?

Whichever songs we think are the best and whichever ones we like the most, we know what we like and what we don’t so that process has become more difficult as now all the songs we write are bangers as far as we’re concerned.

What’s the most hilarious band memory you can think of?

Our drummer Lyn being so drunk he accidentally pissed on our ex-guitarists sleeping face or me being so drunk I ended up cry-shitting into a bucket of paint.

What would be the title of the band’s biography?

“The Ingested Story – The Constant War Against Merch Cuts and Spelling Our Name With a J Instead of a G”
