A lifelong fan of Rock music, Cardiff-born Beth Blade is living her dream, with the release of 3rd studio album “Mythos, Confession, Tragedies and Love” cementing her as a rising star in the modern Classic Rock scene.

It’s a more polished and mature album, showcasing all the many facets of her sound, from AOR and blues, to Hard Rock and classic Metal, along with giving opportunities to shine for the other band members, through entertaining and punchy fills and solos throughout, and inventive, catchy riffs that make your head move involuntarily at times.

The structuring of the album is consistent too, with opening track ‘The Otherside’ kicking off with a bang, setting the stage for the rest of the album, whilst heavier tracks spaced throughout, culminating in closer ‘Still Not Asking For It’ keep the pace consistent throughout, and add more weight to more soulful and reserved tracks such as the beautiful ‘Hold Your Heart’, which shows the softer, more emotional side to Beth’s vocals.

Some album tracks, however, begin to blend in somewhat, and would possibly benefit from being written in a slightly more concise way, which would also form a more ‘short and sweet’ runtime, although this can still be considered a shining example of the band’s growing talent and song writing prowess, and a sign of great things to come.
