New Skeletal Faces’ First Time

Welcome to Metal Digest!

For the first time ever a music magazine is diving into your first times. Well, there’s a first for everything.

Today we are hosting: New Skeletal Faces

First thing you do in the morning.

D Void: I come into consciousness and am reminded that I still exist in the physical realm, for now at least.

The first time you realized you wanted to be a musician.

D Void: The first album I ever owned was Slayer – South Of Heaven, so that was a big influence on me learning guitar, I then learned drums because drummers are incredibly unreliable as it seems and needed a drummer myself. Figured if I knew how to play them I would never be without them.

The first album you fell in love with.

D Void: The most important album of my youth was Rudimentary Peni – Deathchurch, it was a blind buy and absolutely changed everything for me.

Your first treasured piece of music equipment.

D Void: I used to have a Fender Fat Strat Deluxe white with a black pickguard in that Ramones and Sex Pistols look I really liked, I eventually sold it to get an ESP, drum wise the first treasured item is my Sabian AAX Metal Ride which I still have and play today also my Tama Iron Cobra dual chain double kick that I still play as well.

The first time you met a music idol.

D Void: I cant think of any, nor do I really idolize any.

Your first YouTube video.

The first person you text when you are in trouble.

D Void: Unsure/Situational

The first thing you do after wrapping a live show.

D Void: Playing drums im generally the person with the most gear to break down, so once that’s done I usually go outside and cool off a bit before returning to the show. Maybe have a nice pilsner.

The first thing you’ll do after completing this interview.

D Void: Nothing of note, just prepping for tour.
