Bleed From Within (BFW) formed way back in 2005 and with over 25 million streams under their belt, these Glaswegian bruisers have been going from strength-to-strength touring with the likes of Megadeth and Lamb of God. This year has BFW releasing their sixth studio album ‘Shrine’ for another dose of good, friendly violent fun.

‘Shrine’ is the sound of BFW at their best and this album is set at a frantic and phrenetic pace with its back-breaking and unrelenting riffs. These riffs are larger-than-life with chant-inducing divertimento vocals dragging the listener in. The lyrics cut like a knife and precise, throaty growls just add to the whole aesthetic as astronomical breakdowns trade off against metalcore melodies. This is seen during the likes of Shapeshifters’ and ‘Stand All Down’ which are joined with a ride or die attitude causing the listener to sing along to chorus’ which are goading and fiery.

This is an album which hits the mark, it has just the right amount of thick groove and badass attitude to provide a winning formula. ‘Shrine’ is therefore an impactful album with arena ready anthems which surely means that for BFW, world domination is surely next on their agenda!
