When it comes to the rabidity of fans, are there any more obsessive and loyal than fans of Tool? Maynard and co. command their legions like an Emperor of Rome and like obliging citizens they hoover up content left, right and centre. It may have only been matter of weeks since Tool reissued a super deluxe vinyl edition of their latest album ‘Fear Inoculum’ but now, there is a new bog-standard vinyl edition in town.

What the purchaser can expect here is a MUCH cheaper version than that super deluxe edition if you are a vinyl fan. What they’ll get is a trifold sleeve which will house three 180g vinyl with the final side containing a relatively cool Tool etching. Furthermore, this vinyl reissue will also come with a poster so that you can whack it up on your bedroom wall. You also get a different album cover too. Wow. Just like ‘Pokémon’ or STI’s… “gotta catch ’em all!”

As always, a ‘Fear Inoculum’ reissue comes with a hefty price tag. There’s nothing here that’ll make vinyl fanatics dig into their pockets and buy another issue of this album, but if you do like your vinyl and don’t own a copy, then yeah, sure fill your boots. However, there is an age-old adage, if you milk a cow for too long, you’ll get nothing out but the dribbles of a man with a bad prostate. Take from that what you will.
