CANADIAN PUNK ROCK ICONS ALMIGHTY TRIGGER HAPPY HONOUR SNFU’S CHI PIG WITH COVER OF “MISFORTUNE”

CANADIAN PUNK ROCK ICONS ALMIGHTY TRIGGER HAPPY HONOUR SNFU’S CHI PIG WITH COVER OF  “MISFORTUNE” – LISTEN!

Almighty Trigger Happy, like any Canadian punk band, owes so much to SNFU. In honour of the 2nd anniversary of Chi Pig’s passing (lead vocalist of SNFU) the Toronto punk band and icons in their own right, share their cover of “Misfortune” via Cursed Blessings Records. Originally released on the B-side of the Russ Rankin bonus flexi (exclusively available from Cursed Blessings Records), this is the first time the tribute is available digitally. Listen today at THIS location.

Al Nolan, vocalist of Almighty Trigger Happy and founder of Cursed Blessings Records comments: “ATH were SNFU fans from when we were kids, and continued to be so when we became musicians ourselves. Misfortune was a favourite of mine. A song I always wanted to cover, so we did it. Releasing it digitally on July 15th through our label was a no-brainer and is to honour Chi Pig on the 2nd anniversary of his passing. We hope people keep Chi & SNFU in their hearts & remember him forever.”

The tribute was recorded in 2021 and features many iconic musicians including DC Campbell (drums) and Josh Gropp (guitar) of Brutal Youth, Josh Torrance (guitar) of Baptized in Blood, Paul Budel (bass), Al Nolan (vocals) and Quarthon (back up vocals) from Siksika punk rockers No More Moments. The current lineup of ATH is a force to be reckoned with and they pay proper tribute to this trailblazing band.
