Who would believe that it’s been 20 years since that second wave of Emo burst onto the scene as it melded post-hardcore rage with pop/punk melodies that saw young people worldwide blacking their eyes and cutting their wrists? One band who hit the big time in this era were Taking Back Sunday with their debut album ‘Tell All Your Friends’ and now, that 2002 release is getting a 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition reissue on both CD digital and vinyl as well as a ten-track cassette.

For this edition of ‘Tell All Your Friends’, Craft Recordings have lovingly remastered those emo/post-hardcore sounds for modern contemporary sound systems as well delivering four unreleased demos in the shape of ‘Mutual Head Club’, ‘Bike Scene’, Great Romances of the 20th Century’ and ‘The Blue Channel’ as an added incentive for the purchaser alongside brand-new linear notes. Furthermore, the real powerhouse here is for the vinyl collector; ‘Tell All Your Friends’ will be a double vinyl set within a gatefold jacket sleeve and will come complete with a 10” vinyl containing those four unreleased demos. As with most vinyl reissues, Taking Back Sunday also offer the chance for vinyl enthusiasts to collect various different colours; from the band themselves as a blue smoke and forest green vinyl, to a fog colour direct from Craft Recordings whilst the vendors Revolver will stock an orange crush colour and Urban Outfitters will get sangria.

‘Tell All Your Friends’ was a debut album that showed Taking Back Sunday, well, taking on the world and this 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition is the perfect way to celebrate such an influential album on whatever format the purchaser wishes two decades on.
