This morning in the Metal Digest office we’re waking up the neighbours with ‘Rio Grande Blood’, the 2006 album from Ministry. ‘Rio Grande Blood’ continued Al Jourgensen’s and indeed Ministry’s move towards politically charged industrial anthems as the band unleashed their full fury towards the Iraq War and then President of the USA, George W. Bush. Alongside these tracks, Jourgensen also began to poke into conspiracy theories and the Illuminati uncovering another theme which would run into the modern day Ministry sound. What began with ‘Houses of the Molé’ continued into ‘Rio Grande Blood’ and has set the precedent for everything that Ministry have done in the last 20 years, so this morning crank up the volume, get your neighbourhood out of bed and scare them awake because after all… fear is big business.
Come on in!
