This afternoon in the Metal Digest office, we’re blasting ‘Iron Fist’, the 1982 album from Motörhead. For the rockers who made your grass die, this was the last album from the ‘classic’ line-up as it saw ‘Fast’ Eddie Clarke leave the band. Although it has been lauded as the worst album from that particular line-up, ‘Iron Fist’ is in no way poor, tracks such as ‘Heart of Stone’, ‘Speedfreak’ and the title show a band that although were coming apart at the seams, could still hold it together long enough to produce some magic. So this afternoon, crank it up loud and if anyone asks you turn it down, just tell them that they couldn’t tell their arse from a hole in the ground.
