If 1984 brought Armored Saint, the phenomenal ‘March of the Saint’ album then 1985 took it one step further with the fantastic ‘Delirious Nomad’ which is arguably Armored Saint’s best album. This year has Metal Blade Records reissuing ‘Delirious Nomad’ as a digipak CD as well as vinyl.
For those who are lacking ‘Delirious Nomad’ in their collection (shame on you), this reissue offers the perfect opportunity to add it to your collections. In all honesty, a digipak CD is nothing to really write home about, this reissue is all about the vinyl because for the first time in a long time, this album is available on vinyl once again on 180g black vinyl. Furthermore, ‘Delirious Nomad’ will be released as limited-edition colours; for Europe this album will be available in marbled clear light salmon, sunbright yellow, slate grey, orange, red and brown whilst the American limited editions will be transparent yellow as well as white/black marbled.
However, for the CD collector, there will be nothing new here, so if you already own a copy of ‘Delirious Nomad’, there will be little here to sway you into purchasing a new copy with this reissue being all about the vinyl, so therefore, if vinyl is your poison, its time to fill your boots.
