This afternoon in the Metal Digest office, we’re blasting out ‘In the Arms of God’, the 2005 album from Corrosion of Conformity. With this album, Corrosion may have appeared to be falling apart at the seams, Reed Mullin was not featured on drums and Pepper Keenan would depart soon after, but that wouldn’t stop the band from delivering a shit hot album. ‘In the Arms of God’ followed up ‘America’s Volume Dealer’ perfectly with a sludgy stoner vibe with just enough Southern charm to make it massively accessible as it pissed in the face of the fanciful flavours of the day. So this afternoon, dig out your copy and crank up the volume loud and become your neighbourhoods volume dealer.
