This morning in the Metal Digest office, we’re getting things off to a grim start with ‘Exile Amongst the Ruins’, the 2018 album from Irish black metallers Primordial. Once again, when it comes to black metal, Primordial have shown that they are a relatively unique bunch and ‘Exile Amongst the Ruins’ shows the band giving it everything. This is an album which is deep, dark and brooding as it blends old-school black metal with Celtic patterns and rhythms to create a melancholic beast.
