This afternoon in the Metal Digest office we’re blasting the 1998 self-titled debut album from Iron Savior. For Kai Hansen, it wasn’t enough to just do Helloween and Gamma Ray, he had to do Iron Savior too. Joining forces with the wonderful voice of Peit Sielck and Blind Guardian drummer Thomen Stauch, the Teutonic legends set about delivering superb debut album that stands tall to this day as one of the best power metal albums of the 90’s. So this afternoon, crank up the volume so loud that it keeps Atlantis afloat with an album that helped set the stage for the Euro power metal of the last 20 years.
