This afternoon in the Metal Digest office, we’re blasting ‘Rrröööaaarrr’, the second album from Canadian progressive thrash masters Voivod. With this album, Voivod took the sound of their debut album and already began to experiment with the sound. Taking a leaf from the speed metal handbook, there were already progressive elements beginning to be added to that burgeoning Voivod noise as ‘Rrröööaaarrr’ became a very important stepping stone between that thrashing debut and what would become the phenomenal ‘Killing Technology’ album. So this afternoon, crank it loud and proud and if any dislikes it, just tell them to fuck off and die!
