This morning in the Metal Digest office, we’re blasting out ‘Borrowed Time’, the 1982 album from NWOBHM legends Diamond Head. Due to the success of ‘Lightning to the Nations’ two years earlier, it often feels like Diamond Head maybe missed the boat to the big time as peers like Iron Maiden, Saxon and Def Leppard rode off into the sunset with massive album, the more progressive tone of ‘Borrowed Time’ left many people scratching their heads. However, time has been kind of ‘Borrowed Time’ and tracks such as ‘In the Heat of the Night’, ‘Call Me’ and the title track have become firm fan favourites. So this morning, crank it up loud and listen to the album as if it could be your last and you’re living on borrowed time… after all… isn’t everyone?
