This afternoon in the Metal Digest office we’re blasting ‘Queen II’, the phenomenal 1974 sophomore album from Queen. This was the album which saw Queen refine that hard rock/heavy metal sound that they had been teasing out on their debut album and combine it huge swathes of progressive rock seen in the likes of ‘Ogre Battle’, ‘The Fairy Feller’s Master Stroke’ and the immense ‘March of the Black Queen’ set the scene perfectly for what was to come on the likes of ‘A Night a Opera’ only a year later. So this afternoon, crank it up loud and blast it into the realms of nevermore.
Come on in!
