This morning in the Metal Digest office, we’re cranking up the volume on ‘Product of Society’, a real thrash metal gemstone released in 1989 by Defiance. There is plenty of excellent thrash out there if you dig beneath the endless whining/debates about the “Big 4” and if you’re looking for something which thrashes hard with enough technicality to take it beyond the scope of bog standard thrash, then ‘Product of Society’ is a good place to start. The production may be a little thin on the ground, but the songs are excellent. So this morning, wake your neighbours and when they ask you turn it down, stand defiant!
