This morning in the Metal Digest office, we’re blasting ‘Lost Paradise’, the 1990 debut album from Paradise Lost. For the Yorkshire band, this is where it all began as Paradise Lost began to hammer out the death/doom sound that would make them trailblazers in the genre. This album may be raw and have all the hallmarks of a band at the start of their musical journey, but it laid the foundations for masterpieces such as ‘Gothic’ and ‘Icon’.
