Questions on the Go | Pressure

Welcome to Metal Digest!

Please describe the band in a single sentence.

Pressure is the ultimate story metal band with the most intriguing and exciting story metal show you will ever attend!

What’s your latest project and what are you working on right now?

Our last single was called Pressure. It’s a song reminding you that you are not alone handling the pressures of your life. We know that people feel that way. When life throws everything at you and you feel left all alone, you need to call out for help because people will listen. Pressure will listen. Put on our song and we will give you new strength to handle life and all the hardships and all the ups and downs.

The song itself is an arena hard rock anthem with a lot of positive energy and a strong melody that will make you sing along from the first note.

As for now, we are working on releasing a new single. It’s called Madecine – One shot of love and it tells a story about easy solutions and addiction. It’s a hard rock/heavy metal crossover with funk-rock elements. The bassline is very Red hot chili peppers influenced. The song will be released on the 3rd of mars.

How do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

We want to connect to our listeners through our music. We try to tell a true story with every song. Therefore we always start with the lyric. When we have the lyric we choose the style of music and genre that will fit the lyric. So we want our listeners to feel that the music really fits the story and that they can use our music to handle a different kinds of situations and pressures in their own life.

Major influences: Who put you on this path?

I have had a lot of influences in my life. I listen to all kinds of music and I think that’s important when we don’t stay in the same genre all the time with Pressure. So major influences differ from each song. Me – I have my roots in the blues and In blues-rock. Kind of simple music technical speaking but endlessly hard when you try to project your true feelings through it.

If you had to flee the country as a band, where would you choose to live?

Pressure doesn’t flee, we go down fighting. And if we were forced it would be that the earth would be inhabitable and then we hope to do the first Story metal show on Mars

What’s the ‘wow factor’ that makes YOU decide which songs to keep, record and release?

We always look for the mood. When we feel that there is a strong connection between music, lyrics, mood, story, and the possibility to reach people and make a difference we keep the song. It’s very important for us to be able to do justice to the song and story. In the band, we always collaborate and we agree on the songs to keep and which do disregard.

What’s the most hilarious band memory you can think of?

Haha, well, we have been through a lot together. But perhaps back in the day when we played at a wedding. We were booked at a small wedding and were going to perform in a basement, no strange thing, but we didn’t see the room before coming there. When we came to set everything up, we saw that there was no room for us at all. A very small room and there were tables that couldn’t be moved all-around (they were attached to the floor) so we got to set up in the small aisle between the room and the kitchen. We had to play in a line so the singer stood in front, and then the guitarist, then the bass player and so on. So we only saw our bandmates backside all of the gig, and there were waiters trying to pass us with drinks and food all the time. But the crowd loved it. So I guess you can make anything a stage.

What would be the title of the band’s biography?

Pressure – Always around

What’s the next milestone you’d like to achieve as a band?

Well, we are recording and working on our new album which will be released in early June. There will be a couple of singles before that so please stay tuned for exciting new things.

Until we meet again,
