This afternoon in the Metal Digest office, we’re blasting ‘Filth Pig’, the 1996 album from Ministry. With the release of ‘Filth Pig’, Ministry did the unexpected, instead of continuing the musical sound laid down on ‘Psalm 69’, the band turned it on its head, doing away with a lot of the electronics, Al Jourgensen and co. began to play with an alternative and sludge metal sound which caused many fans to scratch their head. However, this album has stood the test of time, so this afternoon we’re blasting it loud and shaking the walls and shattering the windows with a mid-90’s cracker.
