This morning in the Metal Digest office, we’re not only turning up the volume, but we’re also kicking up the violence by cranking ‘Sounds of Violence’, the 2011 album from British thrashers Onslaught. Since their reformation in 2004, Onslaught have been a real definition of quality over quantity. The band may have had sporadic releases, but each one has been a real thrashing shin kicker of an album and ‘Sounds of Violence’ was no different. This is old school thrash delivered through a contemporary lens, it makes the listener turn it up loud and a beer magically appear in their hand. So this morning, dig out your copy and crank it up loud like your were born for war!
