This afternoon in the Metal Digest office we’re cranking up the volume on ‘Target Earth’, the 2013 album by progressive thrash legends Voivod. Following the departure of Jason Newsted and the untimely death of Piggy, it had been four years since Voivod last released an album and with ‘Target Earth’, Voivod returned to that progressive metal/thrash sound with the band delivering their most complex album in years with Chewy being a near perfect replacement for Piggy. So this afternoon, crank it up loud and take your neighbours on a sci-fi journey.
