Who would have thought that it’s been 25 years since Panzerchrist rumbled onto the metal scene in a sole mk1 tank? Now, that sole tank is a whole armoured division as they rattle across to plains ahead of communications. This year has Emanzipation Productions re-releasing ‘Soul Collector’, Panzerchrist’s third studio album originally released back in 2000.
We all know what Panzerchrist are capable of, delivering a storm of death/black metal that has overrun our positions before we know it with many people counting ‘Soul Collector’ up there with the bands best work. But what do you, the listener get with this reissue? What has this release got that can convince you to part with your hard-earned cash? Well, truth be told, other than being remastered, there is nothing for the CD buyer. If you haven’t got ‘Soul Collector’ on CD already, then it does provide a good opportunity to purchase it, but that is it. However, the real treat lies in wait for the vinyl fanatics. The ‘Soul Collector’ LP is limited edition and comes in three different colours of black, red and yellow and…. Why am I bothering to explain anymore? You’ll have all shot to off to order all three colours leaving me all alone…. Merry Christmas everyone.
So yeah, if you haven’t already got ‘Soul Collector’, it is definitely worth getting, other than that, you’re looking at hardcore collectors only. Happy hunting.
