We got to ask them a few questions on the go.

Welcome to Metal Digest!

Please describe the band in a single sentence.

A State of Mind is original, imaginative and dedicated to putting out the best music we can for our fans around the world.

What’s your latest project and what are you working on right now?

“Shattered” is our latest project. This will be our second, 6 song Ep. And Shattered is the title track. Close to stepping into a brand new studio and laying this down!!!

How do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

Energized, wanting more

Major influences: Who put you on this path?

It’s safe to say that the likes of Kiss, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, AC/DC, and many more, were major influences in all of our musical beginnings.

If you had to flee the country as a band, where would you choose to live?

Europe maybe.

What’s the ‘wow factor’ that makes YOU decide which songs to keep, record and release?

It would definitely be the energy of the song, and the hook.

What’s the most hilarious band memory you can think of?

Well, that would be me falling off the stage….I was singing, turned to look at the drummer, saw where my guitarist was on the front edge of the stage, lead was about to start. I was going to fall back on my guitarist when the lead started. I stepped left and leaned back, and fell off the stage backward. He moved and I didn’t see… I still laugh about that.

What would be the title of the band’s biography?

“Burning Reflections”*

*Is a song on our first Ep

What’s the next milestone you’d like to achieve as a band?

Getting this second Ep out will be a good start. It will help open doors to bigger opportunities.

Until we meet again,
