End of Pipe releases music video for “Mass Hysteria”, an punk rock ode to democracy

End of Pipe raises the tone with the release of the new video for “Mass Hysteria”, a video full of political references with sound and visual aesthetics within the social field, which relies on the urgency to allow the individual to express themselves against the Brazilian government’s neglect and its public policies through music. Check it out:

‘Mass Hysteria’ is the title track of the End of Pipe album, sounding a little different from what the band had been doing until then; faster, more hardcore, with a more Bad Religion vibe and a lyric that despite being written before the beginning of the pandemic, proves to be extremely current. The audiovisual piece comes with the band’s desire to amplify the message of the lyrics and reinforce End of Pipe’s position on everything that is happening in Brazil and in the world.

The images were made by the group, and all editing and finalization was done by Gaby Vessoni, videomaker from São Paulo who has worked with bands like Billy Biohazard, Hatefulmurder, Cutthroat, Matriarchs, Human Fortress, among others. Anyone who thinks that “Mass Hysteria” is just a record of protest is wrong, as it goes far beyond that.

The album “Mass Hysteria” marks the 14th anniversary of the band and consolidates the formation as a power trio with Uirá Medeiros (vocals/guitar), Rafael Censi (bass) and Victor Berretta (drums).
This album is a summary of all the group’s influences, with fast punk/californian sounds in the Epitaph/Fat Wreck Chords style of the 90/2000 and by more rhythmic and heavier atmospheres, referring to the bands of the labels No Idea Records and Jade Tree Records , with current lyrics and themes and striking melodies.
Produced by Uirá Medeiros and recorded at Undercave Studio (São José/SC) by Marlon Ramos, “Mass Hysteria” was mixed and mastered in Chicago (USA) by Mark Michalik, who has already signed albums by groups such as Much The Same, Counterpunch, The Swellers and We Are the Union, has 10 songs, including the aforementioned singles, and features guest appearances by iconic musicians such as Mark Vecchiarelli (Shades Apart), Frank Lacatena (Slap of Reality/The Sophomore Effort), Scott Hallquist (Ten Foot Pole/DC Fallout), Émilie Pnkmondon (50 Shades of Punk Rock/Excuse me mister) and Felix (Hardlife/Sledgehammer/Kamikazes Refuse).
