ØR – Norwegian for “dizzy, confusing” – is the third album from Italian avant-rock trio OSLO TAPES, and the album keeps what the word promises: a dizzying ride through a feverish dreamscape of imaginary Norwegian highlands painted in cubistic shapes.
OSLO TAPES’ Marco Campitelli:
“Bodø Dakar is an immaginary journey from the north to the south of the world, through different cultures and landscapes. The song explores african vibes alongside noisey and ambient textures, all within the metronomic pace of krautrock. Solid roots in the 70’s west german music in collision with the Norwegian jazz movement is the core of this song. Bodø Dakar is a long distance run, until you forget yourself.“
OSLO TAPES new album “ØR” Out June 4 via Pelagic Records.
